Organization To Go

THE DVD MESS

I don't know what your house looks like, but we had a MESS of DVD's lurking. At first I questioned getting a stand up organizer. I however have many years of the toddler stage ahead and I was not prepared to consistently be dealing with DVD's pulled from the rack or having a rack knocked over. I also came to the realization our "adult" DVD's would no longer be an option for us unless after hours and that seems to be years away as well.

These bags were a steal of a deal and offered us opportunity to easily move DVD's around the house or to grandpa and grandma's house. Our "adult" DVD's were sorted out and put up away from the children, but still accessible should we ever be able to stay awake for a date night movie.

TOY ORGANIZATION

I absolutely LOVE these storage bins. We use these for legos, marble run pieces, cars, doll accessories and so much more. They are uber cute! These work great sliding perfectly under Holden's bunk bed and Gretta's crib. The handles work well for the kiddos to pull around the house and  for grabbing and toting to grandpa's house.

MAKEUP ORGANIZATION

This little number is great for sorting larger bags or purses. BUT, what I really love it for is organizing my makeup. I do not have the largest makeup collection, but I have several moving small pieces. If I need to I can grab this and go or easily pull in and out of the bathroom cabinet. The kids always have their hands in everything so creating tiny spaces that are mine is a primary concern when defining organization for our home. I have picked one spot in this bag I can pull random things from to occupy the kids while I am getting ready. They think they are getting something from my sacred makeup bag and it is really a kid zone item. I try to make these items special by having them sit on the bathroom rug while they use them and they have to give them back if leaving the bathroom.

THE MOM BAG

Even before I had babies I was "the bag lady." I have always been coming or going and it's no different now that I have kids. This tote has been a lifesaver. It is big enough to support mom +3, but small enough to not overpower maintaining the children. The added pockets for organization are a luxury. I have never been the diaper bag type and I enjoy prints that match to me not my babies.

If you are a Thirty One fan, you will appreciate some of this bags added features and size at a lower cost. No option to personalize, but I have personalized items in the past and been disappointed I did. If you enjoy a personalized bag, connect with someone that can add embroidery or a vinyl decal to add it to this piece.

Cheers to a mom friendly bag.

The Big Boy Room

It was the night before Christmas 2016 or somewhere around that night when we received this bed and two mattresses from Amazon in the mail. Holden was gone for the evening and we invited friends without kids over to "help" us put together our little boys BIG boy bed! We didn't intend on them being so eager to jump into our mess, but it allowed for us to get them beer and wine. Four of us together (basically 2) the assembly took about an hour, one of us is very handy (not me!).

We were happy to get to show Holden Santa had came and was he ever EXCITED! Holden was just over 2 years old when we decided to make the commitment to a bunk bed. We couldn't be more pleased with the cost of this purchase and how it has held up to him jumping, playing and going crazy all over this thing. The stairs were the scary part, but we decided to not make a big deal about them, so far he has been safe. You can take the twin bed and full bed apart if needed which was another selling point for me. I personally felt $550 for the entire setup was a steal.

OH OH OH MERRY CHRISTMAS
